How To Double Lead Generation On Your Website

“I need more traffic!”

Are the words echoed around the heads of online business owners around the world . . .

However, I would argue that this is not the issue.

In fact, one of my good friends is managing to grow his online business with just 50 visitors per day.

But how?

He focused on conversion.

Which is the topic of this blog post: How To Double Lead Generation On Your Website.

We will be learning methods that can take the traffic that you are already receiving and turning these visitors into subscribers, which over time, will turn into customers.

1. Hello Bar

Adding a Hello Bar to your site takes 5 minutes and can have a drastic effect on your opt in rate.

You can either direct your visitors to a specific page with a link, like we do on the Virtual Valley Blog or enable them to enter their email address right then and there.

2. Bottom Of Every Post

When your visitors have just finished reading a relevant, content rich blog post that relates directly to a result they want to achieve or problem they are trying to solve, they are never more likely to subscribe . . .

To enable them to do this, you can automatically add a small piece of text to every post directing your visitors to a page that they can exchange their email address for further information with the Bottom Of Every Post plugin.

3. Welcome Redirect

Some of your current visitors already want to hear more from you . . .

You would be doing a dis-service to them by not enabling them to take your relationship to the next level.

A fantastic way to do this is the Welcome Redirect. It simple replaces your homepage with an opt in page that gives your visitor the opportunity to receive more information from you in exchange for their email address or to just follow the link to your homepage.

Though, one word of caution: I would implement this and then measure bounce rate and sign up rate to determine whether you are scaring away too many visitors by not allowing them to access your content right away.

4. Opt in/Opt out Popup

Popups have a bad press . . .

But when used correctly, they can have a drastic effect on your sites lead generation.

SumoMe offer free popup software that you can add to just specific pages on your site at specific times to ensure you do not frustrate your readership.

5. Content Gates

If you are creating awesome content, your readers will want to access more . . .

Therefore, if you bring your readers to an awesome blog post and they enjoy it you could offer another piece of related awesome content that can be access behind a content gate.

Optin Panda is a very effective content gating plugin.

Now, you have learnt the methods to double lead generation on your website, I strongly believe that you will be able to increase your email subscriptions by 50%.

All for just spending 30 minutes tweaking the code on your site . . .

What have you got to lose?

Please post a link to your site in the comments below and I will take a look and advise on which method (shown above) would be most effective for you.
