Creating and maintaining a blog will also drive free traffic to your site, giving you and your business exposure. Posting relevant and valuable content will attract your target audience to you and your business (content marketing). You will also be seen as an expert in your industry to your potential clients.

Inbound Marketing

Inbound marketing is a marketing strategy that uses relevant and valuable content to draw potential clients. The traditional method of advertising involved delivering advertising messages to the masses through radio, TV, magazines, etc. hoping to be found like a needle in the haystack; to be heard through all the other ads. Inbound marketing is a technique where your clients find you generally through internet searches verses you broadcasting to your market as a method of obtaining clients.

Internet Marketing Strategy – Six Useful Ways to Connect with your Market by Mobile

Last week we continued our series on internet marketing strategies focusing on interacting with your target audience using your website and mobile. Go here to check it out. This week we will look at six ways to effectively connect with your audience by their mobiles.

  1. Make sure your blog or website is optimized for mobile. If you designed your blog and/or website using WordPress software, you can choose a blog theme specifically designed for this or install a plugin called WPTouch, which will enable your site to display correctly on mobiles.
  2. Think about using QR Code as a way to connect with your audience via their mobiles. A QR Code is simply a special bar code when scanned with a phone camera will send people to whatever link you include when designing your QR Code. This is a great strategy to direct people to your site using their mobiles.

Nowadays, mobile use is one of the hottest trends around. They are so easy to use and they help people to feel connected.

As an internet marketing strategy, you can interact with your audience with your mobile. However, your target audience must be made up of those who would interact with you using their mobile.

Statistics show that the age group 18-34 years old usage is the highest.  The group 35-50 years old are the second highest users. So, including this strategy in your internet marketing plan depends on whether or not your audience is mobile-savvy.

Survey Questions

If your subscribers and clients are mobile-savvy, survey them to learn if they prefer communication through mobile or e-mails? Do they like QR codes? Do they prefer text messages?

Mobile Apps

You can have apps created for your company relatively cheap, which will enable your client to interact with your website using their mobiles. Social networks and shopping carts also provide apps.

In order for your internet marketing strategies to work for you, it’s important to track your sales and ROI (Return on Investment). So, analyze your e-mail campaigns, social media marketing, sale pages, promotions, and organic website traffic results to get a bigger picture of how you are attracting your audience to your site or are you earning a return on your investment, etc.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a powerful tool to use for tracking. With this tool you can track:

  • Which social sources refer visitors
  • Which actual content drives conversions with social audiences
  • What your visitors are sharing (and where)
  • The impact of mobile use on your business

This tool also provides:

  • Real-time reporting
  • Graphs and charts, to help you quickly visualize statistics, plus more

A/B Split Testing

Google Analytics will also allow you to set up A/B Split Testing (multivariate testing). This allows people when clicking on your links to be taken to different sale pages or ads. Then you can see which one worked the best.
